The Truth Hurts.
It’s tough being Number 14, out of let’s say 15. Yes that’s right - not No. 1, not No.5, not even No. 10. But sometimes you are. When a candidate hears about an opportunity with your group, they say "Who?" and the challenge begins from there. One of the toughest conversations I have with our Clients is the conversation where I tell them they’re not going to see candidates from Crispin or P&G. They sometimes don’t have the brand equity as an employer, sometimes in such a remote location that great Talent isn’t likely to find a home there, or sometimes the work simply isn’t good enough to attract someone from the top company in the field. It hurts to hear, but often the truth in fact, hurts.
Setting realistic expectations is a big part of being a successful Recruiter. We have intimate knowledge of the marketplace and who’s considered ‘hot’ and who’s ‘not.’ We know what’s making candidates tick these days, what the going rates are for salaries, and just how aggressively the best candidates are being pursued. You should listen to us when we have this information to offer - I promise you it’s accurate, and if you are willing to craft a recruiting strategy with this information front and center, you can be very successful.
The key is to start realistically. If your company is a "4" on a 1-10 scale at the moment, hire 6’s. If you go for 8’s or 9’s, you won’t get them. Once you have a solid crew of 6’s, go for the 8’s, then the 9’s, etc. A strong recruitment program is a marathon and not a sprint. A great group of employees doesn’t happen overnight or even in a year or two sometimes. It takes patience, calculated risk, and a vision into where you want to be.
Don’t take it personally when you can’t date a supermodel. They’re probably more drama than its worth, and you will be happier and more successful with an intelligent, down to earth, naturally beautiful girl on your arm.

While being in a recruiting business one should master the art of telephonic conversation..a virtual body sitting remotely needs to pay attention to your gospel as if its the motherhood statement and nothing can go against it.When you pitch your company it’s essential to grasp the attention of the listener and make him believe that the company you are talking about has more potential than they perceive and they are stupid not to know about the company. You have to make him listen what he wishes to.This form of art cant be read and followed its a real time phenomena which comes without intimation..Do not give irrational statements which could prove false later but yes hold a concrete position and stick to your projections. The listener should feel comfortable and should be convinced that they are "the" candidate for the job..
