I was asked on my earlier post on What is the piece of advice .... I wrote this.. Well if you ask me what can be done to curb this then actually or almost nothing can be done. Basically when the candidates simply fail to answer your calls or reply to your emails, disconnects the call seeing your number and the worst simply disconnect the mobile connection if he leaves that particular city, their could be no recourse to this. But yes the companies are taking a note of such issues and makes sure every candidates approaching them , they do check in their history if they have encountered he/she previously and if the candidate was genuine earlier. Candidates shopping for jobs was definitely in for a long time, some candidates uprightly say they want to know their worth in the market and hence they shop !! Green Jobs interview. I recently came this terminology of Green Interview process… in any layman understanding it would mean some recruitment process invented by a gentleman by the name Mr. Green. But that’s not true, Green interview simply means interviews conducted by companies through Video conferencing and through any virtual networks, which includes telephonic too. The reason being is that when the companies organize interview at the company premises the candidate will have to travel using his own transportation or either any public transport to reach the venue for the interview, which in turn will raise the level of carbon emission from the fuel! And to curtail the same and to avoid spoiling the eco system in the long run corporate are going virtual!! Can you believe it, but yes this is the latest buzzword in the RPO industry!! And hold on there would certainly some more in the making … And there is more to it, there is also something called video resume, which is when you yours...

I was asked how much will US slowdown affect the Indian recruitment industry.. and i gave this input to him .. Well,we rather than waiting for it to get affected i think its effect has already started, i have recently come across an assignment with an IT MNC in which had actually shared the active positions with us ,(we being the vendor to the company )suddenly after the slowdown hits the newspapers , the MNC has withdrawn their hiring plans as they do not expect the work to come to them and hence they are cutting short on the resources, i think the mediocre setups have already started to know their existence lies in the dark. This has also added up to the fear amongst the candidates and trust me they are not actively looking out for a change because they do not want to go through the transitions of the new company and their ad hoc manipulations as per market demands. Some Freelancing i got indulged in ... !! Some one is worried about his career.... need expert advice. “Hi Sunny, I dont know how did it reach me but i am glad to express my thoughts on the same. See i am an HR consultant and deal with such situation every day where i am selling jobs and selling candidates at the same time.Regarding your friend you have given a personal touch to his case where every HR manager who reads his case will feel to extend his/her help to this candidate. Here is what i feel on freelancing ... Its definitely a good way to reach out the masses without any confinement and its easy to revolve in the work space that you create but at the same time it would need a aggressive way of networking with the executives and sell the best solution that you could offer them..

Sometime back or rather few months back i had to take a decision of changing my city and work place because of several commitments towards a new beginning in life... i moved on .. came to the new city called bangalore .. heard its the slow moving city unlike mumbai (where i am originally from !)and yes i found it to be the same way as heard.. initially issue with the food and the environment as you need to know the local language to refrain and avoid from the silly issues that could take on to your nerves but i could not get the grip on the language as i understood i lack the basic ingredient .. thats the urge to learn !! Moved on to the next issue which could be the transport, opted to stay at a walkable distance to my workplace and found so, not really thats could make me feel at home but yes gave a good feeling when ever i was back home ... I learned to choose my own problems and learned to feel sorry, disgusted and bad about the same... and to a certain extent it helped me ... to ...
