Moving on ..

I was asked how much will US slowdown affect the Indian recruitment industry.. and i gave this input to him .. Well,we rather than waiting for it to get affected i think its effect has already started, i have recently come across an assignment with an IT MNC in which had actually shared the active positions with us ,(we being the vendor to the company )suddenly after the slowdown hits the newspapers , the MNC has withdrawn their hiring plans as they do not expect the work to come to them and hence they are cutting short on the resources, i think the mediocre setups have already started to know their existence lies in the dark. This has also added up to the fear amongst the candidates and trust me they are not actively looking out for a change because they do not want to go through the transitions of the new company and their ad hoc manipulations as per market demands. Here is what i feel on freelancing ... Its definitely a good way to reach out the masses without any confinement and its easy to revolve in the work space that you create but at the same time it would need a aggressive way of networking with the executives and sell the best solution that you could offer them..

Sometime back or rather few months back i had to take a decision of changing my city and work place because of several commitments towards a new beginning in life... i moved on .. came to the new city called bangalore .. heard its the slow moving city unlike mumbai (where i am originally from !)and yes i found it to be the same way as heard.. initially issue with the food and the environment as you need to know the local language to refrain and avoid from the silly issues that could take on to your nerves but i could not get the grip on the language as i understood i lack the basic ingredient .. thats the urge to learn !! Moved on to the next issue which could be the transport, opted to stay at a walkable distance to my workplace and found so, not really thats could make me feel at home but yes gave a good feeling when ever i was back home ... I learned to choose my own problems and learned to feel sorry, disgusted and bad about the same... and to a certain extent it helped me ... to ...

These days an aspiring candidate has choices to make as he is getting offers across the boundaries. Its publishing everywhere that corporates are on hiring spree, they are adding numbers ... for evidence read this . Companies are adding numbers as the businesses are growing and the supporting element to it is that corporates are also engaging themselves with the B- schools and lot of engineering institutes so that they can imbibe the fresh graduates in thier system and train them accordingly. Current scene has added a lot of responsibilities on the hiring managers as they are entering even the rural market to source the right talent. Its not only IT sector that needs people. Here is another article which has very different scene as in why is this sector needing poeple .. this . Its jobs .. jobs every where .. did u get one .. or are u looking for one . You are not late to bag one !!!

How is that you can quantify the concept of redesigning a process or restructuring has helped a organization or rather to be more specific a particular department. You often find HR people busy with bringing out the best within an employee and how they can improve their efficiency in their performance. They carry out training programs , open up employee friendly forums and stuff which tries to make every employee feel worth himself that he ultimately affects the business of the organization and how he can relate himself as an individual and as a professional to the other person.. The next or rather the best the management could think of a remedy for the best result could be restructuring within the dept.. the reporting struture , the heirarchy and also there could be a new level could be introduced just to struture the process flow withing the deptt. and it could also be the fancy titles given to the employees . Coming from consulting back ground or rather to frame it in an apt manner from one of the hr outsourcing function called as recruitment, i review how is that my efforts to source a candidate and then trying to place him at my client "dream- job sort after organization" hold significance when after the management review when they have met the candidate - comes up with a illogical or rather illegitimate feedback which may not run in favor of the business. The dimensions to make jobs available to the right candidate is changing as management try to make tailor-made roles which may help the candidate to deliver the best with his skills of expertise and the kind of experience he may bring onto the table . Was going through an article which tried to make the reader believe that an interviewer should not have a biased opinion of an employee or rather a prospective employee in the organization. Recently i came across a survey report published by Accenture reflecting on contemporary HR issues and its relevance to the business. The survey explains how is and can business be related to HR. The point to be taken here is that is business really benefited by HR or is HR just a parasite which cannot be chucked out as it demands to stay. Being in recruiting you may get a chance to explore the two sides of the coin. The demands of businesss gets difficult to align itself with the HR as HR has a slow pace to reach out. We read about companies trying to fix their employees in the organization by giving them extra perks ( more than they deserve ), untimely promotion, perks related to families and so on. Very little for an employee to understand that these are strategies for the employee to continue his stay in the organization, which helps the company curb its cost to a certain level. Very few poeple have it in them to stand out and put across their point which seldom have relevance to others and they let it go in drain. I personally believe its essential for any individual to craft his identity and prove to be different from the rest in the play.what it takes is patience and opportunity. i spend most of my time at my work place and come across people, whom i question why have they chosen that field which they are currently in life. there are various reasons i get and what i perceive of them is, most of them opt their profession not by choice but because it implies to their educatinal background. you may still be naive to decide on your academia, as the support system is the family, but as the time progresses you definitely learn new aspects of the stream you choose and at some time you could have though...

HR has always been a technical course to me. Dealing with people is what HR is, thats what HRgurus speak about & is definitely percieved to be, but HR also has its fine lines of demarcation in its subjects and practices.
